Vnesheconombank (VEB) of Russia is likely to finance the refurbishing and reconstruction of power stations in India set up with Russian assistance. The bank would also fund the development of Russia-assisted nuclear power station.
Speaking at a press conference here, Vladimir A Dmitriev, first deputy chairman of the bank, said, "We have been discussing with United Energy Systems to consider these projects. The company is involved in energy and power distribution in Russia."
