Top sources in the government say that the dates for a special session of Parliament hinge primarily on the dates when the International Atomic Energy Agency's board of governors meeting is summoned.
"So far there is confusion in the government over whether the IAEA board of governors will be meeting on July 28 or July 22," said a top source.
"If the meeting is on July 28 as earlier thought by the government, then the special session of Parliament could very well be held on July 21 onwards. If the meeting is scheduled for an earlier date then the special session could be held earlier, like July 15 or so, which is also a mid-week date," said the source.
Meanwhile, at a meeting of the Congress core group today, possible dates were tossed around, but a decision was deferred for the UPA meeting. Sources also confirmed that dates like July 18 and 19, and July 21 and 22, were discussed at the meeting.
