Ruling out the possibility of his return to Samajwadi Party, Rajya Sabha MP Amar Singh today said any decision on floating a new political party would be taken on March 28.
"I would first discuss the issue with my sympathisers and supporters on March 28 and then take a decision on forming a new political party," Singh, the expelled SP leader, told reporters here yesterday.
"We are having discussions with some political parties over possible alliance, but I would not tell anything to media as of now," he added.
Singh, who was here for a felicitation function, also attacked his former party and said, "I have been asked to forget all the insult meted out to me in the SP, but now there is no question of going back to the party.
"I would accept to drown in the Ganga and accept death," he said.
Accusing the SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav of adopting double standards, he said he would continue to oppose the party till it bites the dust in 2012 state assembly elections.
He also advised Yadav to travel by bicycle instead of aircraft.
