Decision on President's rule in Karnataka today

President Pratibha Patil has a report from Karnataka governor Rameshwar Thakur in which he recommends imposition of President's rule in the state, official sources said today.

The union cabinet is expected to take a decision on the governor's report this evening and convey it to the President.

The Karnataka governor had recommended imposition of President's rule in the state after the H D Kumaraswamy led government was reduced to a minority after the BJP withdrew its support.
