Decontrolled Oil Product Prices Up 3%

The marketing committee of the three public sector oil companies, Indian Oil Corporation, Hindustan Petroleum Company Ltd and Bharat Petroleum Company Ltd, has raised the prices of decontrolled petroleum products. The hike varies between 2.5 per cent and 3 per cent.

The ex-storage point price of naphtha for non-fertiliser use in Mumbai has been increased from Rs 10,780 a tonne to Rs 11,050 a tonne -- a raise of 2.5 per cent.

The ex-storage point price of fuel oil for non-fertiliser use in Mumbai has gone up by 3 per cent to Rs 7,590 a kilolitre from Rs 7,370 a kilolitre.

 

Similarly, the ex-storage point price of low sulphur heavy stock (LSHS) for non-fertiliser use in Mumbai has been raised from Rs 7,900 a tonne to Rs 8,130 a tonne -- an increase of 2.9 per cent.

Ex-storage prices of these products from other ports have also been increased correspondingly. New prices came into effect from March 1.
