Delhi seeks advisor for 1000MW unit

 Both Tata Power and Reliance Energy Ltd. have evinced interest in taking up the gas-based project, which would be a major step towards ensuring Delhi becoming self-reliant in power generation.

 The state government could either go in for competitive bidding or set up the project as a joint sector project, government officials said. SBI Caps would advise on the modalities of execution of the project as well as the technical parameters, government officials said, adding negotiation are still underway with the consultants.
