The Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro) today said the Department of Space (DoS) would reply to the issues raised by CAG with regard to allocation of S-band spectrum to a private firm.
Hours after CAG clarified that audit of certain activities of the DoS was underway and only preliminary queries had been raised, Isro said “these will be replied to by the Department of Space”.
Isro said the agreement entered into by Antrix, its commercial arm, with M/s. Devas on January 28, 2005, was already under review by the DoS and “the government will take whatever steps are necessary to safeguard public interest”.
A decision on the matter was likely to be taken soon, it said.
