DGCA clears FAA safety audit

The US aviation regulator, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), on Friday retained the Directorate General of Civil Aviation's (DGCA) category one status in a safety audit it conducted this week.

"We have retained our category one status in the safety audit conducted by FAA. They have made a few observations related to training, etc. Another consultative meeting would be held in four-five months," a senior official in DGCA said.
