Diesel under-recovery down to Rs 6.31 per litre

In the case of kerosene and domestic LPG, under-recoveries for the month of June 2013 remained at Rs 27.75 per litre and Rs 335.14 per cylinder, respectively

Following a sharp fall of rupee versus dollar, the under-recovery on diesel (HSD) applicable for the second fortnight of June has increased sharply to Rs 6.31 per litre. This was seen at Rs 4.87 per litre during first fortnight of the month.

In the case of kerosene and domestic LPG, under-recoveries for the month of June 2013 remained same at Rs 27.75 per litre and Rs 335.14 per cylinder respectively as these are computed on monthly basis.

OMCs, effective 16 June 2013, are incurring daily under-recovery of about Rs 286 crore on the sale of diesel, Kerosene and LPG. This is higher than daily under-recoveries of Rs 276 crore for the previous fortnight effective from June 1.
 
 
The OMC’s have already reported Rs 1,61,029 core as gross under-recoveries in the last fiscal 2012-13 against the under-recoveries of Rs 1,38,541 crore incurred during the financial year 2011-12.
