We will not rest until Revanna and sericulture minister Varadegowda have been sacked for their role in that murderous attack on RNNV leaders at Hassan and Channapatna, Jeevraj Alva and B R Patil of the RNNV declared. Talking to reporters they said, Nothing short of a judicial probe to unearth the truth and action against those found guilty will do.
Describing the Hassan episode as a naked exhibition of the autocratic ways of the Prime Minister and his sons, Alva and Patil said, ...Revanna and Varadegowda have no right to be in government. They expressed the hope that being a true democrat the chief minister would accede to their demand and initiate a judicial probe.
The Vedike leaders will file criminal complaints against the two ministers and their henchmen, Alva said, adding we have clinching evidence to prove they (the ministers) had a hand in the ugly incident.
The RNNV leadership claimed it had video clippings against the Prime Minister, state housing minister H D Revanna and brother H D Kumaraswamy, a sitting MP, sericulture minister Varade- gowda, and six others.
They maintained that a police investigation and a judicial probe could be simultaneous and that to facilitate these inquiries it was imperative that Patel dismissed the two ministers at once.
