Diwan Saheb to open outlet in Hyderabad

Diwan Saheb, a Rs 20-crore Delhi-based exclusive men clothing brand, is all set to open its first outlet in Hyderabad, its first in south, on Friday.
 
The 47-year-old internationally reputed company known for its exclusive men haute couture expects to record a turnover of Rs 1.5 crore from the new outlet in the first year of operations.
 
 

 
Briefing the media on Wednesday, Sudhir Diwan of Diwansons (India) Private Limited, said that the new outlet was another milestone in Diwan Saheb's expansion plan which will see it spread its network across India, while consolidating its strong presence in north India.
 
 

 
"This year, we are looking at growth through expansion. Although we have nine mega showrooms in India and one in London, our focus this year will be on expanding domestically. As part of our expansion plans, we are planning to open a showroom in Bangalore later this year. An exclusive outlet in Chennai is also in the pipeline for which negotiations are going on," he said.
 
 

 
Diwan said that the company clocked revenues of Rs 20 crore last year of which online sales contributed Rs 50 lakh. "We expect to touch a turnover of Rs 26 crore by 2005," he said.
 
 

 
The new outlet showcases both traditional and western wear including Jamavars, Jodhpuris, Sherwanis, Kurta Pyajamas, Angarakhas, Bangalas etc to tuxedos, cocktail and business suits, waist-coats etc for fashion-conscious males.
