DoubleTree by Hilton brand debuts in India

Hilton Worldwide, the global hospitality chain company, today announced the opening of its DoubleTree by Hilton brand in New Delhi's Mayur Vihar area.

This is the first of the five properties planned by Hilton under DoubleTree brand, an upscale, full service brand, in India. The property will be owned and operated by Eros Resorts & Hotels, an Eros Group company, and managed by Hilton Worldwide.

The newly built hotel is located in within a 20-minute drive of the business district in Noida, including the bustling Sector 62 and Film City in Sector 16.
 
Rob Palleschi, global head, DoubleTree by Hilton, said, “Our ultimate goal is to create a rewarding hotel experience through an outstanding combination of contemporary style and best-in-class hospitality that appeals to both residents and visitors, thereby making our hotel the place to stay when visiting the National Capital Region. With four additional DoubleTree by Hilton hotels anticipated to open in India during the coming year, we are excited about the future prospects for the brand”.
 
With this official launch, Hilton Worldwide now manages six hotels under three brands in India. The company plans to more than double its trading estate during 2011.
 
The property offers 196 guest rooms, including four suites. Every guestroom features wired and wireless Internet access, LCD television, media hub, electronic safe, refrigerated private bar, tea and coffee making facility and iPod docking station with alarm clock. Additional on-site amenities include 24-hour in-room dining, laundry, concierge and travel desk services.
