Dow down 47pts; ADRs slip

The Dow Jones industrial average dropped 47 points to 12,280. The Nasdaq slipped six points to 2460.

The Indian ADRs also ended mostly in red. Patni Computers dropped nearly 3% to $20.50. Infosys, Satyam, Wipro and VSNL declined 1-2% each to $53.56, $23.77, $15.55 and $19.30, respectively. HDFC Bank and Dr.Reddy's, however, advanced over 1% each to $75.23 and $16.61, respectively.
