Dow gains 52pts; ADRs surge

The Dow Jones industrial average moved up 52 points to 12,674. The Nasdaq gained four points at 2468.

The Indian ADRs ended with smart gains. VSNL has soared nearly 4% to $21.83. MTNL surged 2.6% to $7.58, and HDFC Bank added 2.2% to $78. Infosys, Patni Computers, ICICI Bank and Tata Motors rallied over 1% each to $58.71, $24.09, $44.64 and $20.62, respectively.
