Dow hits record; ADRs mixed

After days of nervousness the Dow Jones finally hit a new all-time intra-day and closing high yesterday. The index touched a new high at 11,759, and then closed at a record 11,750, up 57 points. The Nasdaq was up six points at 2244.

Indian ADRs ended on a mixed note. Tata Motors rallied 1.8% to $18.92. Satyam and ICICI Bank were up nearly 1% each at $39.15 and $30.40, respectively. HDFC Bank slipped 1.3% to $60.10, and Patni Computers was down 1% at $18.80.
