Dow, S&P at record; MTNL ADR zooms 13%

The US indices finished higher backed by strong jobs and manufacturing data. The Dow Jones industrial average ended at a record 13,668, up 40 points, and the S&P 500 index moved up six points to a record 1536. The Nasdaq gained nine points at 2614.

Indian ADRs ended on a firm note. MTNL zoomed over 13% to $8.14. Infosys, Patni Computers, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank and VSNL rallied 1-2% each to $49.79, $26.87, $48.53, $86.54 and $22.67, respectively.
