Dow surges 102pts; ADRs drop

The Dow Jones industrial average rallied 102 points to 12,655. The Nasdaq moved up 10 points to 2460.

Indian ADRs ended on a weak note. HDFC Bank shed 6% to $71.25, and ICICI Bank dropped 5.5% to $71.25. Infosys, Satyam, Patni Computers, VSNL and Tata Motors were down 2-4% each. Wipro has gained 2.4% to $17.70, and MTNL has added 1.6% to $6.48.
