Dow up 54pts; Dr.Reddy's ADR plunges 5%

The Dow Jones industrial average ended at a record high of 12,306, up 54 points. The Nasdaq moved up six points to 2449.

The Indian ADRs ended on a mixed note. HDFC Bank rallied 3.5% to $76.65. While VSNL surged over 2% to $19.98, Wipro spurted over 1% to $15.06. Dr.Reddy's plunged over 5% to $16.45. MTNL dropped 3% to $6.17. Patni Computers, ICICI Bank and Tata Motors were down around 1% each at $20.85, $39.05 and $18.31, respectively.
