Dpc Asks Centre To Intervene

The Dabhol Power Company Friday asked the Centre to intervene and help resolve its ongoing dispute with the Maharashtra State Electricitiy Board (MSEB).

Friday's meeting assumes significance because Dabhol has formally approached the Centre for the first time since the face-off.

While the Maharashtra government had managed to get the Centre involved albeit indirectly in the negotiations, the latter had so far held that it will not interfere directly in the tussle.
