Dr Batra's Clinic eyes Rs 100 crore turnover

Dr Batra's Positive Health Clinic Ltd (DBPHCL), the leading homeopathic clinic in the country, is eyeing Rs 100 crore turnover within next two years.
 
Mukesh Batra, chairman and managing director of DBPHCL said the company has grown by 100 per cent in the last four years. "The clinic has a turnover of Rs 25 crore now. With effective utilisation our existing assets and properties and by opening new clinics, we should do Rs 100 crore business by 2005-6," Batra told media in Kolkata recently.
 
The company will open eight more branches in metros and big cities next during this financial year to take the total number of branches to 30.
 
"Our main growth driver will be the new branches in cities where we already have them since we want to encash on the goodwill that we have generated in these few years," he noted.
 
The homeopathic clinics company already has branches in 22 cities. After consolidating its position in the existing centres, the company would target smaller cities in the long run.
 
The company, which employs over 90 homeopaths in all its clinics, earns 70 per cent of its revenue from hair and skin related diseases. The clinic is now entering big way into diabetes therapy as India has one of the largest number of diabetic patients. DBPHCL also runs a cyber clinic. Batra informed the cyber venture is a profit centre on its own.
 
"We have big hope on this online clinic which has found its way into Limca Book of World Records for treating 4.75 lakh people from 75 countries. We have evolved a perfect blend click and brick model which is sustainable on the long run," he informed.
 
The group has also ventured into herbal products with shampoos. It is also coming up with new products for hair and skin segments shortly. Moreover, the group also has a joint venture with German company Bioforce for manufacturing homeopathic medicine.
