India has initiated anti-dumping investigation against the import of compact fluorescent lamps (CFL) imported from China and Hong Kong, the fifth consumer item to come under scrutiny.
Based on the complaints by Osram India and Indo Asian Fusegear on behalf of the Indian industry, the Directorate General of Anti Dumping and Allied Duties (DGAD) notified the initiation of probe on Thursday.
DGAD has set the period between April 1, 2000 and March 31, 2001 as the period of investigation.
