Early weakness likely; SBI results today

Following a heavy sell-off yesterday the Sensex is likely to open on a weak note today. Global markets continue to remain under selling pressure which could weigh on our markets as well.

However, comforting statements by the FM, that there will be no new taxes on the FIIs could bring some relief the markets. Also today some big companies like SBI, Bajaj Auto and Tata Motors are scheduled to announce their results.

Others like Decan Cement, Federal Bank, Jammu & Kashmir Bank, Munjal Show, SRF, Thirumalia Sugar, Gujart Ind Power, Novartis and Teledata are also scheduled to announce their earnings today.
