Electricity Act will consolidate T&D, trading laws, says expert

 The Act is also aimed at taking measures conducive for the development of electricity industry and promoting competition in the industry.

 According to B M Oza, member, finance, Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC), the Act seeks to bring about a qualitative transformation of the electricity sector through a new paradigm.
