Wadhwani Foundation and the National Entrepreneurship Network(NEN) have announced February 6-13 as the Entrepreneurship Week India (E Week),a unique week-long campaign to build awareness and support for entrepreneurship. E Week is set to engage 5,00,000 participants by actively involving more than 30 organisations that support entrepreneurship, corporate, business leaders, experts, non-profit leaders, and faculty leaders to inspire, encourage, guide, and mentor students.
E Week activities are led by more than 500 NEN academic institutes and 400 plus NEN student entrepreneurship Cells (E Cells) across 30 cities. NEN is a not-for-profit initiative of the Wadhwani Foundation working to educate and support the younger generation of entrepreneurs.
Currently NEN is working with more than 470 top-tier academic institutes reaching over 5,00,000 lakh young people across 30 cities of India. The organisation was co-founded in 2002 by leading Indian institutes, including IIT-Bombay, IIM-Ahmedabad, BITS Pilani, SP Jain and IBAB.
E Week activities include competitions, expositions, educational movies screening, leadership and motivation talks with successful entrepreneurs, panel discussions and knowledge sharing sessions with experts, business plan and skill building workshops, business and tech bazaars, industry visits, mentoring sessions, live case studies, awareness campaigns and innovative projects. E Week will culminate on February 13 with a gala awards ceremony at Bangalore.
