A CBI court on Friday reprimanded an Essar employee for recording the court proceedings of the Essar-Loop trial on his iPad. The trial started on July 26. Judge O P Saini told the accused to ensure such acts are not repeated by their employees, agents or associates in future. The court personnel on Thursday found an unclaimed iPad in the courtroom after the trial on recording mode and handed over it to Saini. In his order, Saini said, “It is apparent that the court proceedings were being recorded secretly and surreptitiously in an unauthorised manner. The iPad was returned to the person concerned after deleting the recording.”
