Experts For Special Treatment At Wto Meet

India should push for special and differential treatment to developing countries according to the anti-dumping agreement, at the ongoing World Trade Organisation (WTO) negotiations. This was the general consensus at a two-day consultation with experts in the field of anti-dumping.

Addressing reporters after a national seminar on anti-dumping and subsidy issues, organised by the commerce ministry, additional secretary S N Menon said the exercise to obtain a national consensus on issues relating to the anti-dumping agreement was timely, since the WTO negotiations at Geneva were expected to pick pace from September.
