Exports cross $61 bn in Apr-Jan

Exports crossed the $61 billion mark in the first 10 months (April 2004 -January 2005) of the current fiscal. This is against $61 billion recorded in 2003-04.

Enthused by the over 24% growth, commerce minister Kamal Nath said it appears that India would be able to achieve $150 billion annual exports by 2009.
