The third edition of the Fabrics and Accessories Trade Show will be held during August 4-6 at the Karnataka Trade Promotion Organisation pavilion in Whitefield on the outskirts of Bangalore.

About 70 companies are expected to participate in the show, which will showcase imported fabric, collections by leading textile and accessories manufacturers from across the world.

Besides, it will also act as a platform for garment exporters and manufacturers, buying houses and agents, local and international retail chains, apparel brands and labels among others.

It is also expected to be of great help to importers, distributors and wholesalers, fashion designers and merchandisers, design studios and institutes for business interaction, according to trade show CEO P Krishnamurthy.

The last trade show attracted over 2,600 trade visitors. "Feedback received from both exhibitors and visitors clearly show that a long-felt need for an exclusive fabrics and accessories trade show has been met by us," he told reporters here on Wednesday.

The show is expected to attract over 3,500 trade visitors. "We will also showcase a theme pavilion to focus on the trends for fall/winter 2007-08 to provide a glimpse of the colours, textures and accessories that will be important for the season," Krishnamurthy added.

Some of the prominent participants in the show include Mandana Industries, Oxford Industries, T&S Buttons (Sri Lanka) and Novlty Fabrics Processing Mills (Pakistan).
