Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Sunday said the Metro rail project in Nagpur will boost the industrial and overall development of the city.
Fadnavis was here to lay the foundation stone of Nagpur Metro Rail Project.
Union transport minister Nitin Gadkari was also present on the occasion.

"Nagpur is the centre of Vidarbha and therefore there is huge scope for development. Metro rail service will render a new look to this city," he added.
Besides, Fadnavis said the state government was supporting the textile industries in the region.
On the occasion, Gadkari said Nagpur Metro would be a milestone for the city and will help improve its public transport system.
Managing Director of Nagpur Metro Project Brijesh Dixit briefed about the detail plan of the project.
Nagpur guardian minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Mayor Pravin Datake, MP Krupal Tumane, MLA Sameer Meghe, Anil Sole, Sudhakar Deshmukh, Vikas Kumbhare, among others were also present on the occasion.
