Farmers' own shops

Farm and home products of the Karnataka farmers will go in a branded name in their own shops shortly.
 
The launch of the wide ranging products of both cottage industry and the farm, like soaps, washing powder, soapnut powder, milk, rice, and foodgrains, will come with a brand name ' Namdu' "� 'It is ours'. The launch of 'Namdu' products is scheduled on February 13 in Mysore.
 
These farmers "� the members of Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha and Hasiru Sene (Green Brigade) "� will sell their products sporting the green towel on their shoulders, which has come to symbolize their association with the farmers' movement.
 
Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha (KRRS) general secretary Kodihalli Chandrashekar, Mysore and Chukki, daughter of KRRS founder late M D Nanjundaswamy said the marketing strategy was to eliminate the menace of middlemen. 'Namdu' shops will be opened in all districts of the state.
