Fed boost for Wall St; ADRs advance

The Wall Street ended higher as the Federeal Reserve kept rates unchanged and said the economy growing at a moderate pace, and that core inflation, while elevated, is likely to slow.

The Dow Jones industrial average moved up 54 points to 13,363. The Nasdaq added five points to 2576.

Indian ADRs, too, ended on a firm note. MTNL soared over 3% to $7.40. Infosys, Wipro, Patni Computers, HDFC Bank and VSNL were up 1-2% each at $52.03, $16.71, $25.46, $73.61 and $21.86, respectively.
