The announcement of Chhattisgarh government to exempt stamp and registration fee on the property purchased from the Raipur Development Authority (RDA) would accelerate many projects in the state capital.

Under the new clause, the purchaser need not have had to pay the stamp and registration fee for dealing an agreement with the RDA.

This would facilitate the buyer to complete the documentation at a mere cost of Rs 100 instead of spending lakhs of rupees for the same.

The state government had earlier exempted the stamp and registration fee for the Kamal Vihar Yojana-an ambitious township project that would be implemented by the RDA.

The project would come up in around 2000 acres of area initially and would develop the city in sectors.

Officials in the RDA said that the state government had now included two other projects in the exemption list. It included the Indraprastha Phase-2 and Special Commercial Zone.
