Fearing that the corruption allegations against Commonwealth Games Organising Committee could impact on the October 3-14 multi-sporting event here, CGF chief Michael Fennell today demanded immediate attention by the Indian authorities in the matter.
“The Federation is really concerned about the allegations and the matter needs very urgent and immediate attention by the Indian authorities. They have led to such levels of corruption that have breached all the rules of how you procure and how you handle the matter,” he said.
“That’s why we need to resolve this speedily with full transparency. We can’t allow it to hang over the Games,” he noted.
