Festivities begin at IIM-B for Vista '08

Vista, the annual business festival of Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIM-B), will focus on the emerging economies theme this year. The three-day festival, which commences on October 10m will see students from top ranked institutes in the country and abroad compete for the Altar Vista trophy for best overall performance.

The keynote address will be delivered by Shekhar Gupta, editor-in-chief of the Indian Express. Other speakers include author Gurcharan Das, Manab Majumdar, senior director of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), Jayanta Roy, principal adviser — Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Narayan Ramachandran, Global Head - Emerging Markets Division, Morgan Stanley.

 

Numero Uno, the flagship event that judges students on leadership qualities has participation from over 20 business schools in India. The institute has introduced a new event called Sparsh which will focus on getting business school students to work with non-governmental organisations to solve the real problems they face.
