First Indian to head cardio body

For the first time in the history of Asian Pacific Society Of Cardiology (APSC), an Indian doctor has been elected as President.
 
In the recently concluded 15th Asia Pacific Congress of Cardiology, the country's leading consultant interventional cardiologist Anil Kumar has been elected as the President Elect of APSC.
 
Anil Kumar is currently consulting cardiologist at Bombay Hospital and J J Group of Hospitals in Mumbai.
 
It was the first time in over 50 years, India hosted the biggest Asian Pacific Congress Of Cardiology, conjoined with the 57th Annual Conference Of Cardiology Society Of India. Both were conducted simultaneously in Mumbai from 1- 4 December 2005.
