Beginning tomorrow, expect a series of big-bang policy announcements. Finance and Company Affairs Minister Jaswant Singh today told the CII partnership summit in Hyderabad that North Block would make a series of announcements till the first week of February.
True to his word, Singh let out in part the Cabinet agenda for tomorrow. He disclosed that the Naresh Chandra committee report on corporate-auditor relations would be placed before the Cabinet on Thursday.
The next few announcements would deal with specific subjects like debt swap and debt amortisation, Singh said.
The finance minister, in fact, set aside a prepared speech to speak extempore.
