Food scientists conference

Around a thousand food scientists and technologists, met in Mysore recently and focussed their attention on 'Food Technology: Rural Outreach'.
 
In the eight technical sessions spread over two days at the 16th Indian Convention of Food Scientists and Technologists, they discussed these and other related areas at the ICFOST 2004 venue, the Central Food Technological Research Institute.
 
Apart from 400 abstracts received from experts, there were special lectures and presentations as well.
 
The ICFOST was jointly organised by the Association of Food Scientists and Technologists-India (AFST-I), Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI) and Defence Food Research Laboratory (DFRL).
