French dairy specialists, Arnaud Baranger and Martine Brouwer visited the National Dairy Development Board, Anand on Tuesday.
Baranger, a specialist in livestock housing, and Brouwer, a specialist in dairy production, are out on a world tour on bicycle to promote dairying and to connect with various stakeholders in a rapidly changing dairy sector across the globe.
The dairy specialists were presented with an overview of the history, growth and achievements of NDDB and the various initiatives being taken by NDDB to provide technical and financial assistance for the dairy development in different parts of the country.
The couple also visited the Centre for Analysis and Learning in Livestock and Food (CALF), established by NDDB. Baranger and Brouwer took a keen interest in CALF’s analytical services in food and feed, and disease diagnostic services for livestock.
They visited IDMC's (a wholly owned subsidiary of NDDB) packaging film manufacturing unit and also interacted with the dairy farmers at Navli and Sandesar villages.
