Fresh tenders for the Rs 2,000 crore Vallarpadam trans-shipment hub at Kochi port would be called early next month and the government hopes to complete the project by 2005. As against global tendering last time, the government has decided to go in for limited tendering to ensure that the process of awarding contract is speeded up.
