Global meet on agribusiness incubation

Agricultural entrepreneurs, research institutions, incubators as well as funding agencies and venture capital firms are expected to take part in the first agribusiness incubation conference to be organised by the International Crop Research Institute for Semi-Arid Tropics (Icrisat).

The three-day Network of Indian Agri-Business Incubators conference (NIABI) - 2011 would be held at the Icrisat headquarters at Patancheru near here, from March 8 to 10. It aims to enhance the capacities of at least 60 incubation managers through networking with policymakers and funding agencies for funding and support.

Icrisat director general William D Dar said the meet would help promote agricultural entrepreneurs and their innovations through partnerships etc.
