Through this programme, the Manipal group aims at sending 500 nurses to the US by 2006. Nearly 250 nurses graduate every year from the Manipal schools and colleges of nursing.

Nurses aspiring to go to US must have a basic qualification of General Nursing & Midwifery of three years or a B.Sc. (nursing) of four years in addition to a minimum of two years of hospital bedside experience.

They have to clear CGFNS (Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools) exam and the IELTS, following which they must also clear the NCLEX-RN (National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses) on being employed in the US.
