GM chief Wagoner to be in New Delhi tomorrow

Rick Wagoner, chairman, General Motors will be interacting with industry representatives in New Delhi tomorrow (17 April, 2007) at 1200 hrs.

Wagoner, who will be launching the Chevrolet Spark tomorrow, may also announce investment plans of $250-300 million for a powertrain division for both diesel and petrol small cars. Maharashtra is in the race for the new unit.

The GM chief will also be visiting Bangalore, and may announce ramp up of operations of the technology centre.

Wagoner will be flying to China after completing his trip to India.
