Gujarat government will give a special grant of Rs 202 crore to over 39,000 villages for undertaking various developmental works as part of the golden jubilee celebrations of the state beginning May 1, Minister for Urban Development Water Resources Nitin Patel said.
Talking to the newsmen here today, Patel said the work will be carried out with people’s participation.
The works include creation of infrastructure facilities like construction of roads, building of school rooms, drainage as also arranging for drinking water depending upon the need of the villages, Patel said.
In addition to this, decorated 224 Chariots (rath) depicting developments made by the state in various fields will start moving around various villages beginning from February 12, he said.
