Goldstone Technologies has bagged a $6 million outsourcing deal to provide offshore technical support services to a US-based software vendor in Business Intelligence space.

The contract is for a period of five years and has potential to lead to several million dollars additional revenues, Kaipa Vasudeva Rao, the executive director of the company said.

This customer win amply demonstrates Goldstone's growing reputation as a provider of support services for independent software vendors (ISV), he said in a release. The company was providing product development and support services in the business intelligence space for customers in Europe and US for the past two years, he added.

The company issued a earnings guidance in January, projecting Rs 110 to 120 crore revenues and Rs 15-16 crore net profit for the next fiscal.

With the addition of new order, we are confident of achieving our guidance, Rao said. The company is planning to ramp up its technology team in the country and US by adding another 120 people in the current quarter to meet the development and delivery schedules.

The company currently has about 110 people in US and 100 people at its Hyderabad centre.

We are currently providing technical support services to a leading European software vendor for business integration. To continue effective services for global customers, we initiated several steps, including SCP certification, which we are confident of achieving by July 2003, he said.

It recently launched its Forte to Java migration product and services in the US market and won a US insurance major as a customer. It launched F2J services for European customers during the recent CeBIT exhibition in Germany.
