For businessmen dealing in Kashmiri carpets, here is reassuring news. |
The Kashmir carpet stall, set up by the sales and export division of the Jammu and Kashmir Handicrafts Corporation, at the Indian Pavilion of the week-long handicrafts exhibition in Domtex, Germany, is attracting large crowds. |
The stall is being overseen by the managing director of the Jammu and Kashmir Handicrafts Corporation, Ghulam Hassan Shah. The Jammu and Kashmir government has planned to organise more handicrafts exhibitions outside the country. |
"This initiative will help us in exploring new markets. It will also help to earn foreign exchange and open new avenues of earnings for the artisans and craftsmen of the state," Haji Abdul Rashid, Chairman of the J&K Handicrafts Corporation said. |
