The Karnataka State Government Employees Federation (KSGEF) will stage a massive rally at Bangalore on September 16 to protest “the anti-employee policies of the state and central governments”. President of KSGEF B S Sachidananda Murthy told reporters here on Sunday that the representatives from all the taluks will participate in the rally to be taken out from KSGEF office to Basaveshwar circle.

Memorandum addressed to the prime minister will be submitted to the governor. The protestors will also submit another memorandum to the chief minister.

Murthy said the Centre and State governments had failed to contain price rise while they are busy in privatization of the government agencies. “The working class is adversely affected. There has been rise in hoarding and black marketing of essential commodities. The government has failed to check it.

The KSGEF will press the government to take stringent action against hoarders and to strengthen the public distribution system” Murthy said. The other demands include revision in pay scales on par with those of Central government employees.
