Former BJP general secretary K N Govindacharya will launch Shiv Sena's six-day-long march in Vidarbha to seek complete loan waiver for farmers in Maharashtra.

Govindacharya will launch the 'Deta ka jata dindi' (give loan waiver or demit office) march at Mojari village in Vidarbha's Amravati district on November 13, Sena MLC and organiser of the march, Diwakar Raote told reporters here today.

Govindacharya had participated for a brief while in Raote's 1250 km 'santvan dindi' (consolation march) last year to highlight the sufferings of farmers of Vidarbha, plagued by suicides. Raote had traversed the distance bare feet.

"I called up Govindacharya to seek his blessings for the march and he responded that he will not only launch it but also participate in it," said Raote, a senior Sena leader.

Former Union minister Mohan Dharia and Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghatana leader Raju Shetty will also be present at the launch, Raote said.

Launching a scathing attack on the Democratic Front government in Maharashtra, Raote said the agenda for the winter session at Nagpur is not the agrarian crisis in Vidarbha but repeal of the Urban Land Ceiling Act.

"This shows where the government's priorities lie," he said. Asked if BJP leaders like Nitin Gadkari and Pandurang Phundkar have been invited for the dindi, Raote said "they will come".
