Union Minister for Agriculture Radha Mohan Singh on Wednesday assured the new government at the Centre was capable of handling challenges arising due to low rain, as 2014 is expected to be a rainfall-deficit year.
"Our officers have already held meetings with most state officials and visited the likely vulnerable areas. We will complete all our preparations by June 15. I am very sure the government is capable of handling all sorts of challenges from low rain," Singh said in an interaction with journalists.
