Govt did not give timeframe for IAEA agreement

The government's response sent to all the four Left parties, however, did not mention any timeframe for finalising the IAEA agreement. Instead the UPA reiterated its old stand sying that the deal is in the national interest and the Left must support it.

Meanwhile, indications have come from the Left sources that they might withdraw support on July 10. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is expected to return from his current Japan tour on July 9.
