The Andhra Pradesh government is planning to develop three more information technology (IT) parks in an area of 500 acres at Gachibowli on the outskirts of Hyderabad.

Disclosing this at the inaugural ceremony of the golden jubilee celebrations of the Andhra Pradesh centre of Builders' Association of India on Saturday, chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy said that the process for developing the new IT parks at Gachibowli would be finalised soon.

According to the chief minister, each of the three IT parks would be developed in an area of 100 to 125 acres. He said that the works would be awarded to the builders and contractors in a transparent process while the prequalification bids would be finalised by November 15.

Rajasekhara Reddy told the builders that his government will encourage healthy competition and not encourage cut-throat competition among contractors.
